EXPOZINE | Montreal 2009

This is super late but I'm slowly catching up.
This year I had the joy and pleasure of going to Expozine in Montreal.
Some friends and I banded together to create Bike Crush Vol.2.
Marissa from Bikurious Montreal started a zine titled Bike Crush for Expozine last year and thought it most appropriate to release Vol.2 this year. Miraculously we managed to pull it off minutes before/past doors open on Sunday but alas they were a sell out success!
Contributor and all-round talented fellow, Phil, made some awesome vintage bike related magnets and recorded a song that is available for download.
You can pick up copies of Bike Crush Vol.1 and 2 at Bikurious or contact me and I'll send it out.

There were some really amazing Books, Zines, Posters, Badges, Photos.... all sorts of things that totally blow your mind. It was completely overwhelming at some points but once I composed myself I was able to find some real gems!
This incredible event brings together nearly 300 creators of all kinds of printed matter – from books to zines to posters and graphic novels – in both English and French. Over the past seven editions, Expozine has grown to become one of North America's largest small press fairs, attracting thousands of visitors as well as exhibitors from across Canada, the United States and Europe.
A great many of the publications and printed works on sale at Expozine are hard to find anywhere, much less all in the same room! It’s a rare opportunity to meet hundreds of young and emerging authors, publishers and artists, and see what the winners of last year’s Expozine Alternative Press Awards are up to.
apologies for the iPhone photos....
