CARE fights the root causes of poverty in the world's poorest communities by placing focus on working alongside poor women because, equipped with the proper resources, women have the power to help whole families and communities.

TONIGHT March 5th, in honor of International Women's Day, CARE will present A POWERFUL NOISE Live in 450 movie theaters nationwide . The one-night event will feature the acclaimed documentary, Powerful Noise, followed by a town hall discussion broadcast live from New York City to participating theaters with expert and celebrity panelists including former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright; Christy Turlington Burns, CARE advocate for maternal health and contributing editor for Marie Claire magazine; CARE President, Dr. Helene Gayle; New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof; and actress Natalie Portman. Actress and CARE advocate Sarah Michelle Gellar will be speaking at the Century City, CA theater.
