Matt Fargo - Armpit Shirt

Matt Fargo has created a very unique piece of fashion art in the form of a polo shirt made entirely from armpit stained fabric. The Armpit Shirt‘s stains were collected at the Manhattan Salvation Army over a ten-day period by clothing sorters.

According to Fargo, the stains represent “the thickest, pastiest, crustiest armpit stains that the working classes of New York have to offer.” Funnily enough, the actual armpit area of this unique creation is clean as it has been augmented with patches from a brand new Hanes T-shirt. This gives the owner the opportunity to add their own armpit stain to this “tapestry of labor.”

I think this concept is pretty gross and personally would never wear it but I thought it was interesting enough to blog about. Just think about all the sweaty armpits in Manhattan. They should of collected after the market crash!!
